Great Bands/ Poor Venue Experience
First off, I attended my first concert at the Johnny Mercer theater in Savannah. The security in charge outside the venue made announcements to us that were not found online or on our tickets, lining people up to get in. They were telling all of us that we would be charged ten dollars CASH for any bags or purses that would not fit onto a small tray they held up. Secondly, who is getting the cash if the venue is a CASHLESS place as stated online? Where does the money go? I will not be going back. I also got hit several times on my back by an elderly usher because I took a picture of the band with my phone. WTH! I have never been to a show in this country where I got hit for taking pictures. We are allowed to bring in purses and clear bags a certain size listed online. Many, many people were taking videos and pictures! All in all, the workers at this venue need to be evaluated for their behavior. The elderly ushers blocked my view of the concert when they proceeded to go up and down, in and out of the aisles to stop people from taking pictures.
